Morganite
Glistening in pink colour that embodies elegance, morganite is a beautiful gemstone that features a wide range of delicate colour tones. First discovered in Madagascar in 1910, the gemstone is named after the famous American financier and gem enthusiast J.P. Morgan.
Grouped among the beryl stones along with emerald and aquamarine, morganite has until recently remained unknown. As its soft pink tones perfectly complement the lustre of Akoya cultured pearls, Mikimoto creates numerous jewellery pieces by utilising this stone. With its colour tone ranging from subtly nuanced peach to the rarest pure pink, we select our morganite from around the globe using only the highest of standards.
